SPRING SPORTS:

Gate & concession sign-up - A new season is beginning and we are blessed once again to serve our school, students and surrounding communities through serving and volunteering to help with gate and concessions for Unity soccer and track meets.

  • REMINDER: We ask each family to sign up for a total of 4 spots throughout each school year to either work the gate or concessions stand at home games. Please remember if you are signing up for 2 slots during a time frame to select the quantity 2. Thank you for helping serve!

Tickets (soccer & track) - purchase tickets through Bound for our spring sports. Purchase ahead of

time or at the gate with a debit/credit card. No cash accepted. Unity season passes are accepted at

home events.

Weather - spring sports events depend heavily on the weather. To find out the most current

information on an event, please refer to the calendar of events in Bound under Unity Christian. Those

events often get updated before our Google calendar events do.

IHSAA policy regarding pets on the premises:

No pets are permitted at events sanctioned nor sponsored by the IHSAA/IGHSAU. Any person found

with a pet will be asked to remove the pet from the premises immediately. Failure to comply will result

in the person being asked to leave the premises.

In accordance with Iowa Code Chapter 216C.11, a person with a disability, a person assisting a

person with a disability by controlling a service dog or an assistive animal, or a person training a

service dog or an assistive animal will be admitted to events sanctioned or sponsored by the

IHSAA/IGHSAU without being required to make additional payment for the service dog or assistive

animal. The person accompanying the service dog or assistive animal is liable for damage done to

any premises or facility by a service dog or assistive animal.

Parents, consider joining the UCHS Booster Club Board of Directors! As a board member, you'll help support all student extracurricular activities, strengthen our school community, and build connections among families. We meet 4-6 times a year to plan fundraisers, allocate resources, and organize volunteers. To learn more about this role, contact Eric Oordt at 712-441-1102 or Rachelle Oordt at 712-441-0185.

2025 Unity Christian Sports Camps - Please go to UC Sports Camps | Unity Christian High School to view options. Click on the link at the top of the PDF on that page to go to the registration site.

High School boys have two camp options to sign up for this summer - Best Shooting and Football. Football details - boys who plan to participate in the football camp MUST register. Registration fee + 3 items for Genesis House required (see website for details).

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Solo/Small Ensemble Festival: Congratulations to each of the students who performed at the Iowa High School Music Association State Solo and Small Ensemble Festival on Saturday at Western Christian. Unity had 17 students perform in 12 events, and all 12 events earned a Division I (Superior) rating! In addition, each adjudicator may select one performance from the entire day in their center to designate as the outstanding performer. A special congratulations to Addie Ochsner who received the outstanding performer designation for her alto saxophone solo!

SOCCER CLEAT DRIVE: Unity Christian is partnering with One Body One Hope to collect soccer cleats for orphans in Liberia. Please bring the soccer cleats to the office with them tied together by their laces and with the dirt cleaned off.

Ronald McDonald Houses in Classrooms: The Ronald McDonald House is a place for families to go when they have a child in the hospital long term so they can be near them. They provide such a big help to these families and we at Unity can help raise money for them by taking off pop tabs and placing them in the little house shaped boxes that are in each classroom. If you have any questions you can reach out to Kendra Breems. Thank you!
