Parents, consider joining the UCHS Booster Club Board of Directors! As a board member, you'll help support all student extracurricular activities, strengthen our school community, and build connections among families. Spring gate & concession sign-up - A new season is beginning and we are blessed once again to serve our school, students and surrounding communities through serving and volunteering to help with Gate and Concessions for Unity soccer and track meets.
REMINDER: We ask each family to sign up for a total of 4 spots throughout each school year to either work the gate or concessions stand at home games. Please remember if you are signing up for 2 slots during a time frame to select the quantity 2. Thank you for helping serve!

High School boys have two camp options to sign up for this summer - Best Shooting and Football. Football details - boys who plan to participate in the football camp MUST register. Registration fee + 3 items for Genesis House required (see website for details).
ANNOUNCEMENTS
SOCCER CLEAT DRIVE: Unity Christian is partnering with One Body One Hope to collect soccer cleats for orphans in Liberia. Please bring the soccer cleats to the office with them tied together by their laces and with the dirt cleaned off.
Ronald McDonald Houses in Classrooms: The Ronald McDonald House is a place for families to go when they have a child in the hospital long term so they can be near them. They provide such a big help to these families and we at Unity can help raise money for them by taking off pop tabs and placing them in the little house shaped boxes that are in each classroom. If you have any questions you can reach out to Kendra Breems. Thank you!
Tulip Festival OCCS tent - Students, do you want to earn some extra money during Tulip Festival (May 15-17)? You may sign up to have your name listed to work for hire and earn $50.00 a shift (typically 3.5-4 hours). If you are interested, please text your name, age, and phone number to Dori De Groot at 712-470-0874 by Tuesday, April 1. This list of workers will be distributed to families of OCCS the week of April 14 and they will then contact you directly.
Please note: students ages 14 to 18 years old may only work certain jobs in the tent. The OCCS families will be aware of what jobs those are. Also take note when you are contacted for a shift that you MAY NOT be hired for Thursday or Friday morning shifts due to still having school. If you have any questions, please call Dori! Thank you!
SENIORS - mark your calendars! On May 13, 2025 we are going to celebrate Senior Day!
The goal of Senior Day is worship, reflection, celebration and fun. Here's the schedule for the day:
8:30am - Senior Awards Assembly in the Knight Center. Parents are invited to attend this assembly.
~ 9:15 (after assembly) - Seniors will head to Sioux Falls for a day of fun. The itinerary is still being planned by the class officers and sponsors.
4:00-5:00pm - Return to Unity.
4:45-6:45pm - Woudstra’s food truck will be available to purchase supper for anyone interested.
5:30-7:00pm - Senior Capstone presentations to the parents.
2024-2025 Yearbook Order Form - please fill this out to purchase a yearbook. Deadline to order is April 1. Each yearbook is $50. The yearbooks will arrive in August.
