SPORTS REPORT
FALL SPORTS GATE & CONCESSIONS - It is time for fall athletic events volunteer sign up. Each
year we ask every Unity family to volunteer at a minimum of two events (filling 2 spots each time) for gate, concession etc. throughout the year. You may, of course, sign up for more than 2. Please see the link below for the fall sports sign up. And above all Thank You! We couldn't do it without the help and support of our Unity Family! Fall
Season Passes & Single Game Tickets:
There will be NO CASH SALES at the gate this year. All tickets can be purchased through
Bound or with credit card at the gate.
Instructions to purchase season passes or single game tickets through Bound.
***Season passes MUST be purchased prior to coming to the football game Friday.***
Single game ticket prices are $7 each. Children younger than kindergarten are free.
Kids Cheer Camp - Friday, Sept 22, 2023 Begins at 4:00 PM/Ends after half-time of the football game.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Cast: If you're a new student or a freshman, you are invited to audition for Unity's drama group. We primarily enjoy improvisation and skits, providing chapels to a couple area Christian schools and performing at Combo night in mid-November. Auditions are Thurs 8/24 and Friday 8/25 (after school). Check Mrs. Clark's door (Rm 110) for more details.
Fall One Act play: If you are a new student or freshman, consider trying out for the fall one act!
Auditions will be held Mon, Aug 28, after school in Ms. Van Dyke's room. All you need to do is show
up!
Cell phone policy update & reminder:
We are asking all students to place their phones in a pocket holder near the door of every classroom. Students will be required to not have a cell phone with them during each class period. They will get their phones on the way out of class. We are seeking student engagement both in class and out. So while students will still have access to their phones during passing periods, breaks, and lunch, we are asking parents to partner with us in encouraging students to be present with the people around them and off their phones. If you have specific questions, please direct them to Mandy Van Schouwen.
Dress code policy reminder:
● Please do not wear the same clothes to class as you do to PE or athletic practices.
● Shorts should be a modest fit and not too tight. When shopping for shorts, look for a 4 inch
inseam or longer. We understand that God created us all differently; a 4 inch inseam or longer
accommodates for those differences.
● Crop tops are the trend; please make sure your shirt covers your midriff while at school.
● Hats, hoods, and caps are not permitted.
● Holes in jeans need to be below mid thigh.
● Dresses and skirts should be mid-thigh or longer.
● No sleeveless tops.
Monday, August 28 - Senior Leadership Retreat! On Monday, the Seniors will be heading to
Inspiration Hills for our Annual Senior Leadership Retreat. The goal of this day is to build opportunities for seniors to maximize their leadership influence on the school in a God glorifying way. The class will have a time of worship and will receive a challenge from UC alumni Blake Vande Vegte (Class of ‘20). The seniors will also participate in team building initiatives and fun activities. Senior parents, look for a separate email that will include permission forms and waiver forms. Please pray for a great day for the
