Fri. 10/18 JV Girls CC @ Unity - JV girls placed third overall with Brynn Franken coming in 2nd, Kate Van Grouw 4th, Millie Brommer 14th and Chloe Smit 15th.
Fri. 10/18 V Girls CC @ Unity - Varsity girls finished the regular season out strong on Friday. They won the meet on a tiebreaker against MOC and all seven of our girls were in the top 13. Addison Liston placed 1st, Katie Young 2nd, Kambrie Dekkers 7th, Hailey Koelewyn 8th, Elizabeth Hoogland 10th, Abby Klompien 12th, and Jaidyn De Jong 13th.
Fri. 10/18 JV Boys CC @ Unity - Placed 2nd. Medalists include Kaden Klein in 1st, Tyler Brunst in 9th, Eli Geleynse in 11th, William Phinney in 12th, Aaron De Jong in 18th, and Josh Bousema in 20th.

Quiz Bowl results from Saturday, October 19: On Saturday, 10 schools joined us here at Unity for our Quiz Bowl meet. Our varsity team of William Breems, Jacen Huizenga, Mikaiah Pennings, and Layne Vos took 1st place out of 10 varsity teams and our JV team of Autumn Bousema, Josh Bousema, Ben Ploegstra, and Dylan Kramer took second place out of 14 JV teams. Well done everybody!
Parent Teacher Conferences. Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on November 5 and 6 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers, discuss their progress, and work together to ensure a successful school year. Your involvement is key to your child's growth and success, and we truly value the time you take to engage in these important conversations. Volunteer opportunity - The annual Winter Warm Up coat drive at Kinsey Elementary in Sioux Center is October 26 from 9am-noon. They are always in desperate need of volunteers for set up (Friday, Oct 25) and for the drive on Saturday morning (26th). This is a great cause (and looks good on a college application)! Game Club will be starting on Tuesday, October 29. This is open to all students and we will meet in the cafeteria from 3:30-4:45. We play strategy board games such as Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, Camel Up, Carcassonne, chess, etc. Any questions, talk to Mrs. Kaemingk.

Senior pictures! It’s time to submit your senior and child photos for the yearbook. Submit your photos via this Google form by December 2nd. The yearbook needs two pictures - 1) a senior picture and 2) a baby/child picture. Please choose vertical photos. These photos will be used in the yearbook and the slideshow at JSB. Ronald McDonald Houses in Classrooms: The Ronald McDonald House is a place for families to go when they have a child in the hospital long term so they can be near them. They provide such a big help to these families and we at Unity can help raise money for them by taking off pop tabs and placing them in the little house shaped boxes that are in each classroom.
