Spring gate & concession sign-up - A new season is beginning and we are blessed once again to serve our school, students and surrounding communities through serving and volunteering to help with Gate and Concessions for Unity soccer and track meets.
REMINDER: We ask each family to sign up for a total of 4 spots throughout each school year to either work the gate or concessions stand at home games. High School boys have two camp options to sign up for this summer - Best Shooting and Football. Football details - boys who plan to participate in the football camp MUST register. Registration fee + 3 items for Genesis House required (see website for details).
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Unity Christian will present The Miracle Worker by William Gibson on March 20 & 21 at 7:30 pm and a matinee at 2:00 pm on March 22 at the Unity Christian Knight Center. Tickets are available for purchase through Bound and at the door using debit or credit card.

THANK YOU! Our Box Lunch Social raised $4,228! The funds raised will be distributed between three ministries.
One Body One Hope - this is a ministry in Liberia that runs orphanages, schools, and churches. They are starting a youth soccer program, and we are helping fund the launch of that program.
American Red Cross - responding to emergencies and helping with flooding, wildfires, and hurricanes that have happened in our area but also around the nation.
Family Crisis Center - they offer free services for struggling individuals in Northwest Iowa. From domestic violence to human trafficking, they are here to help anyone. Empowering people to live a life free of violence.
SOCCER CLEAT DRIVE: Unity Christian is partnering with One Body One Hope to collect soccer cleats for orphans in Liberia. Please bring the soccer cleats to the office with them tied together by their laces and with the dirt cleaned off.
Individual state speech was a success! Many students received overall 1 ratings, and all gave incredible performances. Ben Van Genderen even qualified for allstate speech! Congrats to all!
Anyone currently in Earth Science or was in Earth Science last year, please go to the soccer/football field by the scoreboard during morning break Tuesday, March 25 for a picture to celebrate becoming an accredited arboretum.
Tulip Festival OCCS tent - Students, do you want to earn some extra money during Tulip Festival (May 15-17)? You may sign up to have your name listed to work for hire and earn $50.00 a shift (typically 3.5-4 hours). If you are interested, please text your name, age, and phone number to Dori De Groot at 712-470-0874 by Tuesday, April 1. This list of workers will be distributed to families of OCCS the week of April 14 and they will then contact you directly.
Please note: students ages 14 to 18 years old may only work certain jobs in the tent. The OCCS families will be aware of what jobs those are. Also take note when you are contacted for a shift that you MAY NOT be hired for Thursday or Friday morning shifts due to still having school. If you have any questions, please call Dori! Thank you!
2024-2025 Yearbook Order Form - please fill this out to purchase a yearbook. Deadline to order is April 1. Each yearbook is $50. The yearbooks will arrive in August.
